PALE BLUE electroacoustic, fixed media composition
The composition is based on the concept of folding and unfolding materials. Some elements unfold over time, while others fold backward. Metaphorically, for the composer it evokes the image of a
pale blue mass of color gradually transitioning into the sky, which then transforms into a visual representation, creating any kind of forms and objects.

compositions with electronics and acoustic instruments
LATENCY OF AIR | saxophone and electronics
A piece of music in which sounds unfold and linger in echo.. From the flowing sounds of the saxophone, tones are perceived and heard as if they are drifting through space. Both performers—the saxophonist and the electronic artist—follow these sounds, meet and intercept them, returning them back again. A sonic interaction with space emerges. While playing, the fading of sound is anticipated, almost to complete silence. //Latency is the time delay between a cause and its effect within a system; it is usually measured in milliseconds (ms) as the time required for data to travel from its source to its destination.
IMPROVISATION with Leslee Smucker (NL/US)
An electroacoustic duo set by Agita Reke and Leslee Smucker, focusing on the fusion and connection of electronic and acoustic elements within a texture-based music. Their
performance explores the boundaries between acoustic contemporary traditions and electronic, computer music techniques, examining the common and contrasting
relationships between these materials. The performance is structured around four distinct compositional models that form the foundation of the entire piece.
MAGNETIC MIRROR | flute and electronics
INJURED BIRD | choir and electronics
composition for SATB choir and electronics, performed by Latvian Radio Choir, conductor – Kaspars Putniņš
DOES EVERYBODY DREAM | ensemble and electronics
sound installations
TRAUSLUMS | mixed media, interactive sound installation for 8 speakers
Created in 2024, for a sound installation exhibition at the gallery RIXC , Riga
The core idea of this sound installation is centered around the practice of conscious listening, where listening becomes synchronized with each step taken. As visitors walk across the lichen-covered surface, they are invited to sense the sounds, thereby creating a specific sound composition designed for 8 channels. Conceptually, this installation serves as a reminder of the fragility of nature and humanity, as well as our perception, subconscious, and intuition. It is an invitation to focus on sensations—through the senses of touch and hearing—slowly and mindfully.
“Walk so silently that the bottoms of your feet become ears”
(Pauline Oliveros)

FOR A SHORT TIME, I DISAPPEARED | project realised during GMEA artist micro – residency in Albi, France
Is a site-specific sound installation created during a micro-residency at GMEA, France.
Using a counter point between the visual and the sonic I seek to explore the limits of perception in the natural environment. I did this site-specific work, because I seek to interrogate the space as a site of performative presentation and artistic fruition, where the movement, the tension and the synergy of these marble lovers, finds a sensitive blend between new sounds and older forms of artwork. The listeners’ positions shape their experience of the work to a considerable degree. I seek to explore the relationship between the sculpture and the sound source that could originate a reflection on urban space as a site of sensory exploration, which can not only influence the sounds of a given place, but also the ways individuals perceive the acoustic space around them. Evocative of the space’s texture and movement, these lovers convey a choice between day and night, light and darkens, getting us to listen, to open our minds to sound as an invisible but always present phenomenon, that is never an isolated event.
The additional audio-visual work is an extention of this installation, using sound recordings of the environment (park where sculpture is located), voice recordings – poetry reading, and electronic sounds. Text by French poet Claire Malroux (1925-2025).

audio-visual compositions
EXCSIT
MY DISTRACTION
Audio-visual work for solo voice and electronics, also as a sound installation / live-performance.
This composition, structured in four interconnected parts, contains processes that reflect human associations and perceptions of the world. It reveals the tension between noise and silence, the experience of digital addiction, the desire to find connection between body, mind, and speech, as well as the search for peace and self-discovery.
